Pregnancy update

Hey all, not a lot to report today but had an OB appt today and wanted to send an update to all those who might be interested!

I had to do my 1 hr glucose test last week, and my results came back high, so I get to go in for a 3 hr glucose test Friday. Those suck, for those that have had them you understand, for those that haven't all it is, is I have to fast after supper the night before and the morning of. I go in, they draw my blood, I drink the sugar stuff, then over the next 3 hrs they draw my blood once an hour. Then (my favorite part) I get to go eat!!!
My dr is also worried because I am measuring big. Your fundal height is supposed to be about 1 cm per wk you are along. I am 30 wks, but measuring 35 cm, so I am measuring more like 35 wks, which can also be an indication of gest. diabetes. So she suggested I go ahead and start a diabetic diet (ugh! no more breads and pastas for me!) and we will see how the follow-up test goes! Which I will update again next week when I hear the results!

As far as the other kids go, they are both growing very well. We had a WIC appt last week, and both kids had a growth spurt. Charlie was 25% in weight, 50% in height, and Kinzie was 10-15% in height, below the chart in weight BUT they aren't worried because she has stayed on the same curve for quite a while now, lucky girl just takes after her daddy!
Course they are both talking up a storm, and talking back already! My friend Kellie insists that Kinz is 1 going on 16! I have to agree!

We are slowly counting down the days til Mike leaves (or rather WE leave!) I know for the KS folks its a happy occasion, but we (*I*) have mixed feelings about it. Just glad he's going someplace safe again, wish it was after the baby was due though :(

On a happy note, a couple girl friends and I are going to PARIS!!! I am soo excited as this will be my 1st REAL adventure since living in Germany for THREE YEARS NOW! We are taking a bus tour, which is very structured (and what we felt we needed, we aren't brave enough or READY to take on Paris on our own yet!) and pretty inexpensive. We leave bright and early at 1:15 in the morning on Sat 24 May, and arrive back home sometime late Sat night or early Sunday morning. I will DEFINITLEY have pictures to post after that!! One of our stops is the Eiffel Tower, so I should get some good ones!!

Anyway, just wanted to update, since I have some faithful readers now!!!! Hope y'all have a great week!
